I was in the Giant Food store today on Laurel-Bowie Rd. One of the employees told me that Giant had notified workers that the store would be closed soon and they would be offered jobs at the other Giant Food stores in the area. He indicated there might be something about it in this week's local papers tomorrow. As of 10 pm tonight, the Laurel Gazette and Laurel Leader websites did not have articles about the closure.
