The monthly Coffee for Seniors with the Prince Georges' County Police is resuming after a summer break. The first meeting will be on Thursday, September 2nd at 1:00 p.m. at the Police District VI C.O.P.S. office, at 13310 Laurel Bowie Rd, Town Center at Rt 197 and Contee Road, next to Sapphire Indian Restaurant.

The speaker will be Karen Straughn, Director, Mediation Unit, Consumer Protection Division, Attorney General's Office. Mrs. Straughn will discuss recent scams targeting seniors as well as the new laws passed by the Maryland General Assembly to protect the senior population. County Police Officer Kenneth Hibbert will host.
