On or before June 28 a young deer apparently struck by a vehicle and dying on Muirkirk Rd west of Montpelier Elementary School -- a motorist had stopped and was assisting.
On or before June 29, a fire hydrant was apparently struck by a vehicle and sheered off along the westbound lane of Muirkirk Rd just east of that school.
