DOT announces steps to address air bag defects after Takata acknowledges problems exist #recalls

Takata agreed to do a national recall of certain types of driver and passenger side air bag inflators. This expands the number of vehicles to be recalled for defective inflators to nearly 34 million. NHTSA will coordinate the remedy program.
