After a "soft opening" for family and friends on Sunday, June 10, and an 8 am Monday, June 11 ribbon cutting, the new, highly anticipated Double T Diner launched its opening today, at 14550 Baltimore Ave, Laurel, MD 20707 (MAP) 240-280-8688, where it replaces the Laurel Silver Diner, which closed over a year ago. See doubletdiner.com for a list of the 7 other Double T Diner locations - the Laurel location is not yet listed on their website. Their laureldoublet.com site is not yet operational.
The restaurant is invitingly clean and bright; the American diner-style food is fresh and tasty; and the staff is very courteous and helpful. Some of the staff are people you know and like from the former Laurel Silver Diner.
And their pastries are to die for ...
UPDATE 2018.04.15 Double T Diner Apparently Opening Soon
There are signs that the Double T Diner will open soon at the location of the now closed Silver Diner at 14550 Baltimore Ave, Laurel, MD 20707.
The Double T Diner website doubletdiner.com home page now says,
"8 Convenient Locations", but that site still lists only the seven currently operating Double T Diners.
On March 27, 2018 Double T Diner Laurel had its Prince George's County liquor license application hearing - the hearing minutes showing whether their license request was approved has not yet been published. Only one such liquor license is issued each month, and there were several applicants for that same license.
